It was an interview with Sam Mendes talking to Agnew about his involvement with the Bond franchise ( which I'm not keen on by the way ) and he was a good listen, then Blowers arrived to talk on about his friendship in Jamaica with Fleming and Coward. ( a real name dropper and turn off ). But you may well be right, I am not sure when the interview was done tbh.
Talking of name dropping Ebony- Jewel Cora-Lee Camellia Rosamond Rainford-Brent is a star. <ok>

Scott Minto sacked too, must admit for a time I thought him and David Jones were the same person.

Sky have to be careful, if they get rid of a load of people who got the job on merit and don't replace them adequately they'll have a problem.

Not sure what they’ll be on but I’m sure I read somewhere (his autobiography) that Le Tissier has earned substantially more since he retired than he ever did playing football.

In fairness, his dad was at school with Ian Fleming and the main villain Blofeld was named after him. Name-dropping to me is when you are just saying it for the sake of saying it and it’s either irrelevant or inconsequential.

Dropping in the fact that the main Bond villain is named after your Dad is a good story. Saying you met him once is not.

I don’t mind him, he is a good story teller and doesn’t take himself too seriously. I remember listening toTMS once when Vaughn arrived in the commentary box and commented how surprised he was that Blowers wasn’t wearing a tie. When MV was told that he couldBy do his top button up that morning he said he would have expected Henry to have his shirts tailored. Blowers reply was “I do, it is just that I am no longer tailored to my shirts.” Being a posh bloke from another era doesn’t mean he can’t be amusing.
