He's going nowhere, they'll sack the president before he goes.

    Who sacks the president?

Read somewhere that if he resigns early then he's personally liable for a **** load so it's unlikely to happen. No idea how true that is mind.

Ok, he'll be ousted. Same diff.

Point is, when it comes to Messi or the current president, the support will support Messi.

Don't know any actual details either, can't be arsed to read up on it.

Doesn't the fan base vote on the president based on his stated aims?

    Genuinely no idea.

They've obviously made a mistake if this is the case as I doubt they wanted shut of Messi as part of the deal.

Yeah, the Barca presidents run a sorta political campaign to get the job, they're elected based on promises.

For example, the most famous would be Real electing Perez as president who campaigned on a promise of signing Luis Figo. It is interesting as Figo never expected Perez to win, he signed a deal which stated if Perez didn't get it he'd receive 2 million euros for his trouble hence why he signed it. Of course Figo in the press stated he would stay at Barca and he was happy, in essence trying to ruin Perez' chances of winning. The Madrid fans believed Perez who instantly bought out his contract at Barca and he had no choice to sign or be sued.

I'm abit sceptical about all of this, perhaps this is his tactic for a contract extension

    No one.

This is Barcelona - the biggest club in the World. They ain’t having a player oust a President before his re-election is due, which goes completely against how they operate. It’d make them look utterly ridiculous, so it just cant happen.

Messi might end up staying there, but it’d be purely due to his departure not being fiscally possible imo, they’re not launching the President to facilitate it though.
