Any film where more than one person is being shot at with machine guns or any other type of semi automatic weapon, you can always guarantee a variation of “Get down” from one of them. Any others?
'We've got company' The moment the bullets start flying or the cars first attempt to ram the hero off the road.
We're going to need a bigger boat Actually not sure if that quote is correct now I've thought about it. It's a bit like Houston we have a problem, from Apollo 13, the line was not actually in the film but everyone uses it. Sorry to digress
Off the top of my head that line was in Jaws but it was ad libbed by Roy Scheider because it was an ongoing joke on set.
Hate films, normally slashers, when the hero 'kills' the villain, lets say for example, with a gun. They fire one shot, hits the body, villain lays supposedly dead. The hero breathes a sigh of relief, drops the gun inches away from the body, turns their back and walks off. Villain feigns death, picks up the gun, and we have another 20 minutes or so of film to suffer through. In reality, after witnessing all of your friends being killed by this unstoppable monster, you would empty the gun at point blank range into their head and maybe then jump on their head, like the Newcastle fan did on his scarf near the centre circle at full time in the play off semi final at St James park against us. Its right at the end of the vid. My lasting memory of the occasion.
Indiana Jones and the last crusade when the bloke drinks from the grail and rots in seconds down to dust and the knight says "He chose poorly"
It's the scary movies that do my head in. she's outside the haunted house and goes inside, were all saying don't go in there love, or they're in a house and they go upstairs....why. you know it's going to end badly but it happens every time.
And in the same movie they’re standing at the door to the cellar and suddenly the lights go out, what do they do. Go into the cellar, why would you.
Hanging on the precipice of a cliff or a tall building. “Hold on.” Ooooh, Now there’s something I wouldn’t have thought of doing.
