I wish I had someone like you in a large parrot cage in the corner of the room so you could just answer random questions I throw at you.
Whatever happens with the takeover happens. Team building seems to be going quite well so we stand a decent chance of going up and Donald won't be around for ever so I don't see any need to worry if it drags on a bit longer.
I decided many years ago that I would not get excited or let my temp rise with anything related to Sunderland until after everything was signed and sealed, I think it was from the s hit feelings I had 15 years after we never went for Clough as manager
That’s exactly where I am mate. All that matters is getting out of this league and I like the look of where we are. The signings look solid and the 3 young lads are doing themselves justice as well, Grigg has apparently moved up here now so there’s some focus. I’d still like Maddison and a RB but I think we are in smashing shape.
When the takeover happens please can the first poster who finds out post a new thread cos catching up on this one then finding out nowt really happened is starting to do my napper in and I will shortly become very outraged.
This is the weakest the league has been, the sides coming down are in financial strife and the teams around us have weakened. Peterborough are the main competition but if they lose Toney on top of Maddison then I’d not fear them, Oxford should be decent again. There’s little else to be honest. I see us in a league with those 2 and Portsmouth, Wigan and/or Charlton we have to wait and see. Hull are in a real mess with the owners and manager and I think they’ll be out of it.
I’m sure Toney is meant to be on the verge of signing for Brentford? Edit: Turns out he actually rejected that move and Celtic are now favourites to sign him.
I think he will go for sure, and that weakens them massively, he’s comprehensively the best forward in the league, I genuinely think he could score in the Premier, he’s a very, very good player.
he'll definitely score goals for Celtic then, I could score goals for them in that Mickey mouse league.
I reckon he would score 40 for Celtic, I really rate the lad. I’m surprised they are in for him given it’s gonna be £10million plus.
You’ve got to think Portsmouth haven’t strengthened at all really and Wigan are having to sell there assets because of debts to other teams and administration, not saying we will be anywhere near top of the league or anything because I really don’t know about us either but something to think about regarding our rivals
Quite right, there's a lot of uncertainty around and we have to take advantage of that. Our recruitment, amazingly, seems to be concentrated on the areas we're lacking. We have some good players, even the likes of Grigg, so no reason we can't go up.
