Melter alert ---> okay then Catholic African Men. Toby - do you realise that this argument started on a previous thread where it was implied that if the pope said yes to condoms, it would help prevent the spread of aids on a major scale. What is your view on this? I repeat - if the pope said yes to condoms, how would this affect catholics in Africa?
Not a bad haul today, Medro. You got the usual suspects all too easily though. Time to throw them back into the weed-infested burn
I don't give a **** about Medro, never have and never will. Maybe we're arguing about the Pope because there's a couple of religious ****wits (one of them a racist), that are sitting at home defending the old nazi ****. I know there's no point in arguing rationally with people that believe in God, I like to give it a go though
No, he's promoting no sex. It's clearly not working either, which you've consistently failed to address by just saying, "well if they'd listen to his unrealistic message..."
That's not what you said, but nevermind. If the Pope promoted the use of condoms, through advertising, education and actually using some of that cash that's used to pimp the Vatican up to send some rubbers over, then yes, I'm 100% that AIDS would not be spread as much by Christian African men. There are still ****loads of missionaries and ****ed up things like that over there, desperately dragging down people that don't really need it, and never asked to have their 'souls saved'. Condoms stop AIDS being spread, telling people not to have sex/eating garlic/having sex with a virgin/etc... are not proven ways of stopping the spread of the disease. Every time a valid argument is put forwards, Team ****wit just avoids it and goes on and on about: NO SEX = NO AIDS That's never been what I've been arguing against, but they like to keep it simple... <theybelieveinthemagicskywizard>
It's clearly not working though, is it? Regardless of whether you believe it to be the most effective method or not, it's irrelevant if the message is ignored. Telling people not to have sex is like telling people not to eat. It's not going to happen.
