I reckon City, PSG would find the wage if they really wanted to. His commercial value is part of the thinking too. Ramsey on 400k at Juve because he joined on a free...throw in another 200k a week won’t be much of a problem for most of the big money clubs imo if they are paying wages like that to freebies. Sanchez at United was also on 400k apparently.

In any normal circumstances you’d be looking at £150m-£200m for Messi even at 33 years old, but if he leaves on a free then yeah sugar daddy clubs can pretty much afford to pay him £500k+ for a couple of seasons. I think Sanchez was on £500k at Utd ffs.
