@PISKIE you considered just bangin a new engine in the Transporter?

 

I did think about it, but the gearbox is also suspect and there's a raft of other stuff that needed doing. Suspension top mounts, wheel bearings, steering rack needed some attention too, probs a dozen other jobs here and there. It just got to the point where it wasn't work pouring any more money into a half million mile van.

I've swapped it for the Superb now. Decent car, drives nice. Filthy as **** so tomorrow I'm gonna give it a good clean. But first impressions, solid car and happy with the swap

 

Did the other guy say what his intentions were, with your old wheels?

 

Looks alright that for a big shooting brake. Dare I ask the mileage?
