I think they were expecting a lengthy period before the trial, getting all lawyered up and having a solid defence, and months later when it's all blown overthe outcome would've been a footnote on the back pages.

Instead the greeks put it through like any other case, maguire had to make do with some dodgy backstreet cypriot shyster. Bish bash bosh, trial over, guilty as charged.
