Roughly translated Leeds have booked a clinic and want Rodrigo to have a medical today as negotiations are almost over with Valencia, a deal is being agreed for £27m and Rodrigo wants to come and agreed his package?
He won't it will be a fine the greeks are not daft. Plus a bonus for me as it's another pillock who will be banned forever from greece.
Rodrigo is a done deal according to spanish press. 30m€ plus 10m in 'variables' ( that Valencia expect he will trigger during this season)plus another 2 m in other bonuses.
I would not count my variables if i were Valencia. After all he has got to dislodge barndoor bamford.
Seems to be around £20m difference in Bamford and Rodrigo and Bielsa knows what he is buying so expect Pat to start but within a couple of games expect Pat on the bench, oh and Rodrigo can do both wings as well as No10
I'm still not convinced we have hit the jackpot here. I've done alot of reading up on Rodrigo and I'm not sure he is worth the money. Its ridiculous money for a player who has only once scored more than 10 league goals in a season. Hope I'm wrong on this but I think we may have spunked a large portion of our budget on a player that has been largely poor last year. Looks like he has had a good couple of seasons prior to that but the reason he is going cheap is that he was ****e last year. Granted, I've not seen him play yet!
Phil Hay reckons a bid for Koch goes in within a day or two. That would be first choice target done if we get him, first choice after White but real first choice.
If we’ve signed him as a replacement for Bamford I’ll have concerns. If we have signed him as a #10 or an attacker out wide I’ll be more excited. I’ve high hopes for Poveda this season, Costa or Harrison on the left, Rodrigo in at 10 ahead of Roberts and Bamford for me. I don’t want to see Harrison Bamford Costa and Roberts lining up together in attack, between them they had far too few goals. Let’s get Rodrigo over the line, then Koch and hopefully we’re still going to get an out and out striker
