Wide FB's is a key part of most modern systems and teams. If DF was not going to amend his system why have we bought Hugill? As a general point 'the same ' got us promotion last time so the same but better sounds good to me.

Indeed. Many were moaning last season that with Aarons and Lewis getting so far forward we were left exposed at the back far too often (see the 'goals against' column for proof!). If there is to be pace on both flanks, they can spend more time on defensive duties, which should add solidity at the back.
Time and again people complained that we had no 'plan B' (which was true) - yet now that steps are being taken to suggest we will this season, some people are still not happy? Jesus H.

"Some people"? Not me Cromer. I've never bemoaned the lack of a Plan B. All I've ever argued for is a more balanced implementation of Plan A

PS Shouldn't you Moderators show more gratitude for the amount of debate I start on here! <laugh>

It might have felt like many were moaning, however, it was mainly one person moaning a lot.

Looking again at the players coming in and those leaving, it looks like a tight fit to squeeze down to a 25 man squad (* indicates U21 player not counted):

    GK: Krul, McGovern
    RB: Aarons*, Byram, Mumba*
    LB: Lewis, Quintilla, McCallum*
    CB: Zimmerman, Handley
    CB: Godfrey, Klose, Famewo*
    DM: Tettey, Sørensen, Skipp*
    CM: McLean, Rupp, Vrančić
    WR: Buendia, Martin*, Sinari
    WL: Cantwell, Hernandez, Placheta
    AM: Stieperman, Dowell
    ST: Pukki, Hugill, Idah*

I make that 24 plus 7 U21 players. If Gibson or another CB signs, we reach 25 players with no room for further additions unless someone leaves. Pretty shrewd recruitment by SW & co.

DF's comments about the new players are also interesting:

Assuming no one leaves I can't see us signing anyone else other than possibly a CB. The rumours around Gibson suggests we were looking for one.

I agree, except the possibility of another keeper, having sent Mair out on loan and Oxborough injured.

Aren't keepers the one exception to the transfer window rules? In extremis you can bring someone in?

Just been looking at the i follow coverage , because of the Corona they are offering season ticket holders "free access" to all live games , otherwise it's £10 a game.
I have no issue in paying for live content but £10 is a bit steep , a one off payment of about £50- £70 would be about right .

Did season ticket holders get a refund and were they charged for this season ?

It is, but it's very hard to prove you have nobody available, from memory. We'd probably need to be in a position where we had no goalkeeper over the age of 16. I'm not sure how it works when you have players out on loan, whether you're expected to recall and play them?

As a season ticket holder I can confirm that I recieved a refund for missed games last season.
I can also confirm that payments for next season are being taken by the club.No news on how refunds will operate for missed games.
