I'm sure someone will inform us its preparing for relegation or some other negative stance.

I'll say welcome to the lad, hopefully he can perform as he did for Burnley and give us something we don't have. Like what I've seen in terms of him being a solid player, so I'll give him a chance before writing him off as Championship drivel.

    I don't understand his criticism.

He's come from a club that has finished higher than us in the last 5 seasons even being in Europe.

He is a good player. A solid mid table PL player.

Hey he might turn out to be **** for us. If he does I'll criticise accordingly. However this is not some **** hawk we've bought in hope from the non league game. As you say his record stands up just fine over the last few years if you look at where we are as a club. His pedigree at least suggests he should be given a chance to succeed/fail first

It’s a bit like a Kevin Nolan signing. That’s what it reminds me of for some reason? Don’t know why?

He’s a proven premier league mid table player. This is where we are at.

I have watched him a couple of times and he’s a grafter. I personally think he might replace Shelvey but who am I to say.

Hopeful this will turn out well. I've always thought he's decent when I've seen him. We needed some more mobility in the middle and he's got some quality on the ball. Pretty experienced now and a regular for the Republic.

Negativity is inevitable under Ashley, signings will always underwhelm.

He’s actually reasonable, a reliable Paul Dummett type of player, but a signing I’d expect a promoted club to make. Of course that’s life when the sole purpose is 40 points - Hendrick is probably good enough to help with that.

    What a load of bollox.

He's a solid mid table player.

We're a solid bottom half team.

He's come from a team who have been consistently better than us including finishes in the top half

To be honest I think its just a better option than Bentaleb and someone who brings something different to the table than the rest.

If he'd been an ever present, then fair enough. But he wasn't.

24 games in a season now?! Let's not bicker, I'm not saying he's bad and he's better than Bentaleb. It's just typically underwhelming.

I'm also not sure a CM was top of the agenda either - is Hayden leaving?
