My thoughts on Thiago, other than we arent in for him, is that he reminded me a bit of Fabinho really. Constantly wont the ball back and broke up play, but always kept the ball moving in possession. Would fit perfectly for us, shame.

I read that he has not scored an away goal in 5 seasons, surely that can't be true. He is not the player he was as he has slowed down a lot. Can't see us going in for him even on a free, but EFC might!

Just had a very quick look on Transfermarkt and he scored 9 away goals last season so that's not true. He will do a job somewhere. I doubt we would be looking at him but he's up there as one of the most exciting players we ever had.

 

Easily the best striker we've had in my time watching us.

Too many unbelievable goals to go through really but that take down over his shoulder against Newcastle was up there with his best.

 

He's previously said he'd like to return to Ajax, can't recall him mentioning Uruguay

 

Best player I've ever seen play for us. Getting past it now, but sure he could do a job somewhere.

 

Imagine how nasty he will get as he gets older and slower, a liability for any team that signs him
