This is just daft on so many levels. First off I'd hazard a guess doing business as Chelsea executive is somewhat different than Newcastle. Maybe take a club of similar standing like say Crystal Palace. They've signed Ferguson on a free. They tracked him all summer too. Interest from other clubs, contract niggles etc. Standard stuff.
