Of course it's fanciful to think that Jones might be on this forum reading what people think about him but just to pretend that he is I'd like to say that his work on turning the club around is appreciated and I/we hope he sticks with it.
I honestly don’t know mate, I don’t know who’s lined up, who’s going to be chairman, I do believe him and jones have been working well together though
I do keep up to date with this amazing forum, and massively appreciate everyone's views! I'm feeling a huge turn around in fortune for the club soon. KTF and FTM!
A lot of clubs rely on agents for the kind of contacts Jones' has. OK maybe he's not enough for when we're in the Champions League, but I reckon within the UK his friends, contacts and reputation are a massive asset to us. I reckon any club in any league would use him in one respect or another, if he was a fan of theirs. No-one is looking at us thinking that we're daft I'm sure.
It's natural, I suppose, for people to be skeptical after the FPP takeover fell through last year. It is sad, however, that some seem to be chomping at the bit and appear desperate for 'no sale'. I could understand it if they were behind the current owner, and thought he was doing a good job, but they're absolutely scathing of the current regime as well. I know we're all different but I really struggle to understand why some people take so much pleasure in rubbishing everything to do with their own club. Fuhrman has an offer on the table, a new season is about to start and a quick 'cheerio' from Donald is all it would take to completely change the atmosphere ... ... it's far from impossible so why should hoping for that wind some people up as much as it obviously does.
With the looks like Donald has finally cracked post let’s hope it’s a brighter future for us all, think we well over due some good times on and off the pitch
I think that was just the way it was initially reported. He made a comment that was taken completely out of context. He was trying to make a point that a potential investor may see too much of a risk in investing if there are constant campaigns against the owners and talked about reputational risk. He wasn't slagging fans off. I think Sloanes and Jones, like the rest of us just want the best for the club and will do what they can to make that happen.
