Strong talk that we're taking on loan for the season... Newcastle's Kelland Watts..20 yr old....6ft 3in left sided central defender....supposed to be quick, strong in the air and has shown a good eye for goal in Newcastle's U19 set up (twice scoring hat-tricks)....and has played in the first team once in the Premier League...been on loan at Stevenage and Mansfield and highly praised.

This sounds a good move, if it happens....good in the air and quick with it....what's not to like with this young 20 year old.

Who knows? Wikipedia is a wonderful thing but not always accurate.

Ah I see! No I didn't know that.

Also being said, and I'm not saying it's more than rumour, that we're back in for George Cooper again

There are so many that get linked to this club or that club at this time of the season. I just wait until they have actually signed and go from there now. It is kind of fun though to speculate sometimes. As for #George Cooper well I've kind of lost interest myself. If he signs for us then fine but if he doesn't then who really cares that much. What I would really like to see with him is for us to sign him on a free, he do so well next season that everyone and his dog is queuing up for him at a mega profit for us. That's just to piss Barry Fry and Peterborough off. They do seem quite an odious lot.

This time around I haven't seen that many negative posts about our current and previous incoming. I think we should be worried if the faithful are being optimistic, All the signings seem to be quite reasonable from what I can see.

There's a lot of ownership and financial turmoil in the game at the best of times and in addition to the health risks, Covid19 could bring already weak clubs down. No club is absolutely fireproof but I wonder how much the strong leadership of Simon Hallett is a selling point for players. He's invested heavily, all entirely at his own risk, but is not using that to buy short-term success, but to create a platform for medium and long-term growth. If I was a player with a family and a mortgage, that would be attractive to me.

Peterborough have signed Ryan Broom from Cheltenham on a 3 year contract, hence George Cooper apparently being surplus to requirements.

You may have known that I didn't!

I had noticed that...I just hadn't bothered to check if he was a possible replacement for Cooper.
