Who in the **** ever said that? And you accused me of not understanding what's been said. All that's been said is the Pope's message is making things worse, not better. Is it really that hard for you to understand that? The answer to Global Warming is not using as much energy as we do, so let's stop using fossil fuels and building power plants, it's the safest way
You are talking about not606 being a barometer for human society. No one else is. Do you believe that these days people go their life with 1 sexual partner?
He gets a hook and never lets it go ! Repeat Ad nauseam ! After my stroke n brain aneurysm yesterday, I'm not getting involved (apart from that wee dig before <wideo> )
If abstinence was so rigidly adhered to, then there would be no real need for lawyers like Anport. But no, in Webel's heid everyone has one burd for their whole life <WEBELSNEVERHADHISNATKING>
That proves the influence of Christianity upon Western culture. It doesn't prove that marriage is the fabric of society. Feel free to try again, though. People used to get married when they were 14 and die when they were 40. Not much of a wait, many still didn't abstain and others still didn't stay faithful. Regardless of your personal opinion about abstinence being the most effective option, it's clearly not one that's working. Why persist with something that's failing miserably, when millions of people are dying and suffering because of it?
Imgaine you never meet the right person? Or you can't be sure they are the right person? Should you never be able to have sex, ever? What about people with personality/mental disorders who find it almost impossible to become intimate enough with someone to know that they can be with them for the rest of their lives? Should they live a life of monkish abstinence?
You were talking about changes to the liturgies or catechisms (or something) at Mass a couple of weeks ago.

I am not telling anyone not to have sex. i am saying that in an area with an inordinately high instance of AIDS, adhering to the message of the Church is a sure fire way to address this particular problem. I find it strange that people cannot see that message for what it is, accept the inherent truth within that statement and move on.
The Pope's message: Don't have sex until you're married, and when you do, you'll be safe from AIDS. DON'T USE CONDOMS, THEY ARE ONE OF THE CAUSES OF THE SPREAD OF AIDS. You can have unprotected sex in Africa without getting AIDS, it's not some kind of porno orgy where people shag when they meet ('****ing like dogs', as you put it). On one of the C4 documentaries (Unreported World methinks), there was a thing about prossies that get paid more for unprotected sex, often by married men that have travelled far to find work. If they wore a condom, they'd be less likely to catch AIDS, their 'pact with God' won't help them much there
The Greeks and the Romans were well known for their abstinence, as were the 'Barbaric' tribes, who never raped or pillaged a thing.... (That list could go on for a long time...)
