Just seen on Twitter that MLT mentions that Wally Downes and Nicola Cortese have settled out of court at the 11th hour.
Anyone know what this is about? I assume it is Wally Downes after some cash for being sacked but culd be the other way around I guess.

None of our business really. Not sure why MLT needed to say anything.

If it is an out of court settlement, then by its very nature a confidentiality clause would have been signed by both sides. So, we'll never know the full story (not that I'm at all bothered anyway).

In fact, Cortese may even use tweets about the case to claim the confidentiality has already been broken and any agreement is now null and void.

Matty really does need to suck it in. This negativity and jibing really does him no favours. I'm sure Wally took a pretty penny home with him and is currently a first team coach at West Ham, so isn't exactly going to be short of shoes. Time to keep quiet Matt or you'll be downgraded from God to mere mortal.

Spot on, especially after he backed that Pinnacle bid. He's always seemed a decent chap, but hanging around with the Sky old boys network seems to have done him no favours.

Not saying NC is perfect, because I don't know the man, but Matty should reel his neck in. A settlement doesn't imply anyone is in wrong..can be just a gap between the figures wanted by the 2 parties. Matty obviously feels that Cortese isn't the man for Saints, but it's beginning to feel like Matty would like him to fail even if it costs Saints dear.

My opinion of Matt Le Tiss has dropped considerably in the last week...

He's gone from being a respectable legend to a trouble maker...

    Very disappointing.

MLT and this thread are just adding fuel pointlessly to the fire!!!

I agree, but I fear a change in attitude has been influenced by those monkeys on Sky as someone else pointed out

Cortese has made some stupid mistakes in his two years but also some brilliant ones.

Would we be top of the championship without him i very much doubt it. So MLT needs to give it a rest, either join the bus or shut up n get on with life

Mlt is getting on my nerves, and if I hear one more comment from his son.

    Shut up about it.

    Cortese = God

    What is a brilliant mistake?

Can you give us an example of a Cortese brilliant mistake?

    Cheers.

very little good has come from these social networks like facebook and twitter. You are never sure if they are really the people they purport to be, and secondly many people feel they have to post controversial topics in order to engender interest. They are the internet versions of heat magazine - tittle tattle for the brain dead. A compromise agreement is exactly that both sides move from their original positions in order to avoid the tribunal. its none of our business but theirs. Its hardly rare for backroom staff to go en masse when a manager goes.

Its time Le tiss realises that hes the past and Cortese is the future all this bitching from him and his cronies will just alienate him from people who once loved him

I had an argument with Hudson on Twitter.
He also seems very up himself and I put forward a point claiming that he is also very bitter because Daddy didn't save Saints.

He is of the opinion that Cortese is as bad Bin Laden. Disgraceful!!

I had a arguement with Mlts son to, its funny how he always uses the
"you dont know what corteses really like" line all the time.

Rather sad tbh airing your personal hatred of a guy in public on twitter.
Where cortese can't answer back etc , Should do it face to face and sort it ,if not shut the f*ck up.

Do you know I don't know what the Chairman is like of the company I work for? Unless it affects me what does it matter? If Cortese keeps Saints solvent and we continue to progress, he does what he's paid for. Taking up Benali's carpet was odd but does it affect Saints?
