Agree on the Furhman thing. On the player thing I think this might only be true if we are getting players that will get us promoted, or at least convince a prospective buyer that they will. Else Donald could just do a squad to not get us related until sold. I've got no idea if the players coming in are enough to get us promoted. Having said that I think we would have been top 6 last year had Bailey Wright not got injured at Oxford, so maybe don't need that much more.

The first talks went well apparently.

Sorry if I'm sometimes 'behind the beat' but I'm often told things and asked not to post immediately.

It's only when the like of @Guinness Guzzler mention something that I feel able to confirm.

It may sometimes look as if I'm just trying to jump on their bandwagon but it's a tricky balance.

I've been told about 2 more streamed friendlies, with details, but asked to keep it quiet <doh>

Deodorant2 has posted loads of reliable stuff in the past has posted to say Donald's digging his heels in, I'm presuming it's now all come down to price.

I think we’d have been top 6 without question had the season ended.

We had that wobble at the wrong time but we weren’t well out of games as a whole, only the Bristol away game was a real ****ing shambles, complete no show.

A 95th minute equaliser in the Gillingham game, a game we got a head and then allowed to drift, cost us at least a playoff place. I will have no issue watching Wycombe come down bottom and get humped out of the Championship. They will get torn up.

    It's entirely down to price.

Donald is puffing his chest out but knows he has to sell imo.

So they've done all this negotiating, you agreed with Magnus that it was close, yet they haven't even sorted a price yet? Weird.

Don’t be sorry about that mate, team always first and signings none of us object to being made aware of.

If it’s come from Jones it’s absolutely solid. Hope it’s Mbappe.

loving all the various scenario's being thrown up here, we have all done our own little bit of detective work for a 2+2=5 result as none of us have all the evidence...but while it is fun and every new scenario puts a slightly different twist in there to make us rethink i just want something sorted ffs!!!

SD had his original plan, big club with big name players (we still had some at that point) should get promoted at a canter, settle in championship or even better, manage a quick push into the premier then sell and make a few million and to be honest, i would not have begrudged him that if he had gotten the club into a better league and financial place, unfortunately, he did not know the club very well, 1st season was dire although held a little promise, 2nd season no real improvement so his plans have gone to shyte, his big promises have gone flat and the locals have turned, only one way for him now, realistically.

unfortunately, these money people do not get money by letting things go cheap so he will hold out for as much as he can get, then we have charlie and sartori who obviously came on board for profit, i honestly think the whole 'delay', if there actually is one, is down to monies involved and once thrashed out (hopefully sooner rather than later) we can start to look forward to another season of football.

Yes, it's close but there's some issues with the price, do you have a point to make?

  15. Agree with the Bailey Wright comment, but the squad is looking very thin mate. I think an attacking midfielder and another striker are must haves, maybe the full back areas too. We've only one goalie aswell.

Well you ****ed that didn’t you mate.

You absolutely sure it isn’t Mbappe?

Joking aside, I see the logic in pretty much all the players we are being linked to, which is rare. I retain high hopes for Scowen being like a new lad as well given how little we’ve seen and the regard the QPR and Barnsley fans had for him.
