    He holds by far to much sway at the club, imagine signing for a team and your biggest worry is upsetting messi, doesn't matter if you train hard, play well, you piss him off and your life is hard.

    Same for any manager coming in, does messi like me. What sort of authority have you got.

    Hes still a fantastic player, but if he leaves barca, he wouldn't play week on week, I reckon who ever signed him would end up regretting it.

    Clearly he can't do it on his own anymore or they'd still be top dogs and not losing 8-2.

    As a club they've got to decide if they want to keep paying an aging Messi a Kings Ransom or if they want to start building a new squad. They can't do both as shown by the debts they're accumilating. Even if they cleared out all the other high earners, they'd still have to buy new and pay them wages.

    Messi's wages are a stone

    Tough start, but I wouldn't swap that run-in for anything. April and May look cromulent, especially as we're due a win at OT (unless Moss or atkinson officiates, 'natch).
