Rob Green may have lifted the Europa League Cup at the end of the 2018-19 season, but he never appeared once for Chelsea that season. I doubt that prospect would appeal to Foster and I agree that he will probably stay at Watford.
Well if Chelsea think Foster is a better option than Kepa the Keeper who cost them £71.6million, perhaps we should be asking for a similar fee?
Supposedly interested in Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster on loan. I suspect that will be knocked on the head when we say no to their bid for Sarr... https://the72.co.uk/187209/watford-bournemouth-and-norwich-city-want-premier-league-striker/
Everton in talks with Doucoure apparently but no fee been agreed. Everton like to pay over the odds so be interesting to see how much they are willing to pay. Excellent box to box player with good energy and physic on a decent day.
Few tweets going around about the future of some of our players. Of course who knows how much truth there is and if we can keep the likes of Sarr. https://twitter.com/search?q=#watfordfc&src=recent_search_click&f=live Players have a lot of power these days along with their agents.
Yes - let's hope we don't leave it too late to get replacements in. Better to have squad settled before the season starts if we can.
Not wishing to be unkind, but I was never sure why we bought Pussetto in the first place - all I can remember about him is that he was occasionally on the pitch, but rarely did anything. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2020/08/...e-of-watford-exit-to-re-join-his-former-club/
I liked him - has pace and a good eye for a pass but he isn't strong enough for the EPL, let alone the Championship.
GD off if the transition to these quotes are right. One says his time is over at Watford and the other Spain is an option.
I've been wondering when talk would get around to which players Ivic could bring with him... https://www.hertfordshiremercury.co...ews/three-players-vladimir-ivic-could-4435424
https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futb...s-suarez-se-pone-a-tiro-para-el-atletico.html http://sportwitness.co.uk/club-aske...spirt-seduces-manager-starting-price-is-e50m/ It is claimed by Mundo Deportivo (summarised in Sport Witness) that Atletico Madrid have enquired about the availability of Luis Suárez and have been quoted a price of £50 million. The article in Mundo Deportivo suggests that he is seen as 'one of the main options’ to replace Diego Costa and Atletico Madrid have already asked his agent for information about a potential move. Mundo Deportivo claim that "the Colombian’s fighting spirt and courage ‘seduces’ Diego Simeone and his signing would see him compete with Álvaro Morata for a place in the starting XI next season." Suárez would prefer to stay in Spain because he is familiar with the culture and language, but I get the impression that Atletico Madrid are hoping to get him on the cheap because the article mentions that Watford have been relegated and will receive much less television money. I can not see Atletico Madrid paying anywhere near £50 million. I think that Suárez changed agents during the past season and I suspect that this agent may be trying to engineer a move for him to a big club. The agent deleted part of a tweet today and qualified what he had written about Suarez's future.
Blimey - snap your hands off for that ! Although it does seem that the club are keen to have Suarez here next season.
I think the fee quoted was in euros not pounds - so just a mere £45 million or thereabouts. Hang on to him I say - and hope he can fire us back up to the EPL...
True - one is injured and the other being investigated for off field issues! I think we might have to hope Pedro comes good and this Suarez does come. I can still see Deeney being first choice if he stays.
Hmmm - midfielder/left back from QPR. Anyone know anything about him? Also rumoured to be signing Chilean Francisco Sierralta - a centre back - on loan from Udinese. He doesn't exactly have an impressive pedigree...
