Well of course mate, for the sake of our supporters and the long term sustainability of the club why wouldnt I hope it comes off?

It's just my personal view is I dont think its gonna happen.

Absolutely. Will be interesting to see if they keep Rodwell. What they really need is somebody with football administration experience who gets the EFL and the english game. Rodwell on paper is actually a decent candidate (albeit experienced at perhaps the wrong end of the league) but they might want a clean break.

I just hope we don't go down similar to the Roberto De Fanti agent based route. Not that the Jorge Mendes route has worked out too badly for Wolves.

Arbenit Xhemajli is at the academy. Not sure if it’s to sign, or on trial, but assume he’ll be involved against Gateshead (fitness permitting)

Lose and "See, I was right, told you so, should listen to me"
Win and "Gerrin, I'm so happy, had a feeling we'd win but didn't want to jinx it", or some such bollocks.

Basically a no lose scenario favoured by 5 yr olds.

Surely expecting a defeat and hoping for a victory is the default position of every football fan?

    Not me tbh.

I go to games, especially away, full of excitement.

Other people, the same, get the songs going in the pubs and the noise in the stadium.

You hope that lifts the team, perhaps it does.

Whatever the case at least I enjoy the pre-match build up even if the match is poor.

So going off here and other places are we linked to Feeney, the Kosovan lad and Bristol City striker all on loan?

    God no!

But my complaint is not aimed at those who think or even say that, but those who preach it, as if pessimism is a virtue, while denying they're pessimists!
