Dig deep Vince. "Liverpool are prepared to sell Serbia midfielder Marko Grujic, 24" Edit: just read elsewhere that Liverpool want £20M for him. Ah well.....
Funny isn't it. After all the screams and cries about how football will suffer post Covid... now the transfer window is open again clubs seem to be getting amnesia. £20 mill for Grujic would be a joke... in my opinion anything over £7 mill would be way too much. I saw there was supposedly interest in Lewis Dunk at £40 mill!!! Willian supposedly getting £200k plus per week at Arsenal. Henderson at Man Utd reportedly going to be on £100k plus as their reserve keeper. Football will never learn.
Grujic was ok on loan with us a few years ago but nothing special. He is older and more experienced after a few more loans. But £20m? They're having a giraffe. £5m to £7m is about right but he will expect mega bucks salary. Harry Wilson? £15m maybe but he had a poor last 12 games at Bournemouth. Benched most of the time in a relegated side. Cannot have helped his value much. Again he will want a Prem salary. Newcastle, the graveyard of footballers with ability, like West Spam, interested apparently
Leeds have offered ‘up to £25m’ for Ben White but reportedly Brighton value him at £55m Incidentally if swansea get Lowe for 500k that’d be good business. Surprised I haven’t read of other clubs interested in him. Only City news appears to be Sanderson.
Brizzle signed Joe Williams from Wigan. A fire sale happening there. If Harris is true to his word and we're now only in for frees and loans, it could be late in the day before we make any more signings. Desperately need a RB though.
Thing is Brizzle, its only the clubs with huge TV income. It's just increased the divide as clubs that rely on gate money are the ones that will really feel the pinch. But you're right, the game either doesn't learn or it just ignores.
Apparently Bournemouth want to sign 35 year old David Marshall from Wigan. A great move for the last couple of years of his career, if he can get it. I see Harry Redknapp's gaff on Sandbanks is up for £3m plus. A steel and glass palace overlooking the eastern side of Poole Harbour. Wonder if Marshie fancies that? Swimming pool and internal lift included. We drove past Harry and Sandra walking their dogs when driving around Sandbanks a few weeks ago. End of name drop.
Rugby starts again tonight. Lots of transfers have happened (ensuring to stay on topic) with lots of new boys getting their first run out. Scarlets vs Blues Dragons vs Ospreys. Should be a good watch. Just saying.....
Any news on a RB. Not long now and starting to get a bit nervous. Hope none of our guys have been put of the country and have to self isolate. I see Harry Kane has got caught by that.
Always on the cards.................. https://www.teamtalk.com/news/exclusive-neil-warnock-boro-transfer-sol-bamba
Offer them Flint only. Trouble is they had him before us and know his abilities - or lack of them. However Colin signed him for us so must see something in him. I would like Bamba to stay. His fitness has improved since he returned from injury, he is a more than useful cb who knows the division inside out, he is a leader on and off the pitch and is doing his coaching badges so probably has a longer term future with the club in that area. Saying all that you can see why Warnock would want him. At 71 he won't be able to manage indefinitely so Sol moving into a player/coach role and ultimately manager is a natural progression. Main con. Would you want to move to Middlesborough? I know I wouldn't.
Couldn't agree more. Had great hopes for him staying with the Bluebirds for the long term even tually in a managment roll. He seems to lovd the club.
