    Exactly

All he knows is what SD told him, and he’s fine with it

Now SD changes his phone number so no one , including Barnes can get in touch and Barnes has been hung out to dry

What do you mean he's had peace though? He's sat in oxford and there's no football on, he'd have had it canny peaceful anyway. Feel free to think there's nowt going on but that doesn't make you "realistic". There's people I know in real life who are well connected who say something is going on and that's good enough for me. Reiver is saying there's stuff going on and I know for a fact he was pretty much bang on about everything related to FPP last time. Either a lot of good, respected posters are randomly talking ****e for no reason at the same time , or something is happening. Time will tell, but there's as much reason to be positive as there is to be negative (sorry, "realistic")

Well it’s because of ‘us’ fans that he’s selling if you believe what he said.. the abuse etc

He didn’t complain when we sold out Boxing Day it ever away game since he’s been here

it’s all the fans fault for our problems

That’s what he’s doing, playing the victim card and trying to paint the fans in a bad light as that’s all he’s got left to play ‍♂️

It’s not that simple though. Based on last years financials, we will likely lost close to £20million over the next year, on top of the £10million loan owed.

The club would then be worth an absolute pittance. Donald cannot cover those kind of losses, no way can he.

The clubs income right now it’s just above zero, the furlough scheme is ending, the match day costs are about to kick in and we’ve no ticket sales or hospitality income.

He can’t ride that out. Selling now is a debt free business with a £9 million (admittedly masked) profit showing.

In a year, down millions, the asset is gone. If he rolled the dice and we didn’t go up, and we all know that’s a possibility not a probability, he would be ruined.

The club would be taken off his hands for pennies on the pound and his personal wealth would be decimated.

Now is his golden time to sell. He kissed the boat last season, the boat isn’t going round the world and coming back.

Income in the Championship is only around £7million a season higher, and that would be absolutely shark attacked by fees and the lack of protection of a wage cap or whatever.

Stu publicly blaming fans is again geeking him, as the blind loyalty of us, the clubs ‘customers’ is it’s biggest asset as a non Premier League club.

He needs to sell now, but as we say we’ve no firm evidence that he’s about to.

100% in everything you’ve wrote there... bang in and I’ve said very similar but for some reason he’s nit looking at it that way. I genuinely think, he thinks he’ll get another loan like FPP from someone and survive

The time frame for the rumour wasn't Friday. People are saying things are progressing well, but no one is giving a time for when they think it will be completed. Anyway, you've made your point, you think nowts happening, this'll probably be a pretty dull thread for you in that case.

Not sure I agree about the loan tbh. Covid has hammered our revenues, 50% drop in season tickets, no matches on yet and reduced numbers when it does get back up and running. That's some money hit and it has to come from somewhere so I'd be a bit surprised if Stewy still has that £10 mil in the Madrox bank account.

I’ve had a few tonight watching the PSG game and have just spent the last half hour going through the last 10 pages. Normally that would take 10 minutes but it’s harder to read when you’re doing the famous one eye shut to read after a few beers trick.
As I’ve mentioned previously being bitten last August hurt badly. I want to believe but I can’t until it happens. In the meantime, massively appreciating the input of those who may or may not have genuine itk info on here. HWTL FTM

Another loan would absolutely bury him. Even when they reopen the stadium thousands will stay away, whether that be due to him, or their personal fears over Covid.

His goose is cooked without selling a chunk of his shares, and he can’t go toe to toe with folk with 100 times his money as he will get eaten alive.

Taking on more debt on the hope of going up and making £7million extra a year would be catastrophic. He’s not a total imbecile.

He will want out, it’s a case of does he go quietly or does a bigger boy launch him out of a catapult.

He can't take another sizeable loan anyway. The FPP loan is secured against the stadium etc, so what would he secure the next loan against because FPP won't let him secure it against the same things they've already got a charge over!

Very valid point. Let’s be frank they likely aren’t worth the £10million anyway, The stadium is only of use to the club, and the land at the AOL categorically cannot be developed on. It’s only valuable as a club asset.

In complete layman's terms I dont get why we are so difficult to sell/buy. Newcastle valued at 300 mill. What profit will be made on them after further money is used on transfer fees etc. I know we are all pretty biased but the price we are now against the potential value of the club in a couple of years with, in theory, average spending is a no brainer. Anyway night all.

Again. I agree 100% and have said exactly the same things in past, but he must genuinely think the club is worth more than it is and he’ll cover it. He’s gambling and from what I’ve seen he’s not a very good one.

That’s why he’s going to try and hang on via a loan and keep a bigger % if the club and hopefully get promoted and sell etc or move the seats around, bring JS father in law in, take a back seat but still keep 15/29% of the club but very little financial burden will be on him. Almost like a silent partner. He views the club as his ‘golden goose’ and he won’t get another opportunity to make this amount of Money again form a business deal... the problem is he can’t see the wood for the trees and he’s cutting his nose off despite his face... if he was so desperate he would lower his price and leave... if he was genuine when he said once the fans don’t want me I’ll leave he would lower his price and leave.... but he’s not... and it’s going to come back and bite him severely and he’s so pig headed and full of himself he can’t see it happening

As crazy as it sounds he believes his own BS and he’s going to be left with his trousers round his ankles, and a very poor situation, which I bet he’ll wish he had got out sooner

    £37m for the club
Paying players such as Oviedo/carttermole still
    Academy £4m a year
    Academy facility upgrades/upkeep
    SOL improvements needed
Difficulty of actually reaching premier league (took Leeds 15+ years to get back)
    Issues with Covid
New wage cap will limits our progress
    Previous managers to pay
£20m ‘black hole’ in our accounts

    There’s a few Issues ‍♂️

Again agree, but he’ll class it as investment. He said the FPP loan was investment as it sounds better. But you’re correct, he has nothing else to leverage a loan agains, except possibly shares changing hands etc

Again it does sound bonkers, but he’s desperate to stay unless someone pays £37M (which no one will)

Those are also all excellent reasons for Donald to get out as quickly as possible.

Agree, but he must think he can either make further cuts or get investment as why hasn’t he sold. If there are consortiums interested (which there are) why has t he lowered his price and gotten out...
