Poor move in my opinion, I want it changed back to how it was. Just ignore a post if its a mag wum but some sunderland wums are just as bad as the mag wums it works both ways.

 

I definitely don't tar you all with the same brush, but there are quite a few Sunderland fans that just seem to be here to give Newcastle fans abuse. e.g. Cest, Psycho, master-simpson, MackemsRule, biffa. A few more as well.
We do have our own idiots as well mind, wouldn't be the internet without them

 

I agree - having a mag free forum would be great!! Oh you didn't mean that - must be confused!!

Doesn't bother me to be honest and me and Chappaz/Chiek etc have had a few arguments but it's just banter - but it is a good idea all in all

 

Wow, this is low. The problem is not Newcastle fans, it is your reaction to Newcastle fans that is the problem. I've never come on here to wind anybody up; even slightly, and yet I've been insulted a good 75% of the time by a sadly large proportion of regulars here who openly admit that they're doing it simply because I support Newcastle. This is a pitiful and cringeworthy move for a group of adults to make on an internet forum.

 

It's MackemsRule, he does it every single time. Whenever we post on something he gives abuse. He's a ****

 

I haven't been on here for a few days. I know there was a lot of "in house" bickering between some of the red and whites, but to call for a "mag free zone" is unbelievable! I often go on there board, most of the posters are spot on, but I always get abuse from certain ones even after making valid comments purely on the basis that I'm (thank the lord) black and white. Sad times.....

 

I think you will find it dies a death but you need to see it in context, its an idea and nothing more, an attempt to solve a problem and I agree 100& that by far the biggest thing to put people of is abuse. We will never stop it but my hope is that by having these debates and frank views it may make people stop and think.

I wont be using this option, but it is true that when I see a thread 75% of insults (NUFC vs SAFC ) it annoys me. There are people from the sunderland side that insult newcastle supporters for no reason and viceversa - both annoy me in equal amounts.

I can see why this was asked for, but wont be using it myself

I hope it does die a death really. This is not the Sunderland forum, it is the Sunderland section of a multi team forum and so if people want to have discussion about Sunderland without hearing the opinions of other teams then what the hell are the doing on a multi team forum? I understand that some people might come here to throw abuse around or make obvious wind up threads but why not just ignore or delete it if it bothers you that much? I recall loads of you guys having a go at us because one of our moderators simply deleted that sort of obvious bull at one point, many of you harping on about freedom of speech being muffled because somebodys obvious wind up thread was removed. Yet now you're all taking it a step further by completely refusing to allow even sensible comments by other users in certain threads? Incredible, it's just an internet forum - you'd be far better off just deleting the abuse than outright banning all people of the opposite 'tribe'.

Don't know why the mags are getting upset maybe their board is so boring they want to hang out here.... Got it more likely they are closet sunderland fans. Don't be shy lads nothing to be ashamed of we are an accepting bunch. However, can the people who want to ignore the mags not just block them or ignore comments from them like?
