At least we get to shout Tottenham reject if he plays. Seriously though, can't blame the lad if we released him.
Never heard of him, this is totally different to Judas, we let him go for whatever reason the lad has his future to think of and I wish him all the best apart from the days when massive boils breakout on his arse, those days when anything he does has a knock on effect to any of our teams
Of course, the Nomads are making out like he's Judas Pt.II You know, the same Nomads who have definitely got over Harry Kane moving to brighter pastures, due to the pastures in Woolwich being as dull as the supporters
Looking forward to the chapter on his committing perjury during the trial looking at Zdravko Mamic's tax dodging and embezzlement...
I assume there will be text in the book thanking Levy in hindsight for not selling him to Chelsky that summer (and the umpteen CL medals thereafter) .
I suppose Modric met Levy on his rowing boat at Ally Pally to sign on originally. Funny how money turns one's head........? But I've often wondered if Modric would admit to Spurs "making him?"
Anybody know how many of our Double team still living today? Can't believe it was almost 60 years ago.
Maurice Norman, Cliff Jones, Les Allen, Terry Dyson, Terry Medwin, Frank Saul, Tony Marchi and Ken Barton are still alive, I think. Cliff Jones still turns up as a half-time guest quite regularly and he featured on the Youtube channel recently, too. Looks great for his age.
Cliff regularly appears on the Tottenham Twitter account and is as bright as a button, met him after a game last season and it was a true honour
Can you imagine Cliff Jones receiving the ball and passing backwards or sideways,as todays wingers do. FLASH! He's gone.........
Was he quick by today standards though? His contemporaries seem slow compared to Bale or Traore and quite slight in stature. It may be the poor film of the day, but the likes of Matthews always look quite pedestrian.
Stop it Smithy your making me feel old! Seeing little Tommy Harmer hobbling out with his walking stick on the last day at the Lane brought tears to my eyes.....So many memories and for our generation so many good ones. May they come back soon for everyone.
Tommy Harmer dribbling through a defence to lay one on for Bobby Smith! Sorry!!!!! The defence couldn't catch Jonesy, unless they tripped him. Brilliant in the air.
