I had a good membership for 15 years. Stopped last season as very little point now. Gold membership user to guarantee match tickets. They can't do anymore. Now you are just paying 50 quid a year for the chance to enter the lotto that is queueing for a ticket. Leeds twitter these last few weeks has been nothing but falling out about super fans and whose better. It made me laugh the amount of people reeling out the argument that they had been to every game for the last twenty years. If everyone who claims to have been to every game actually went our games would have looked like Woodstock. I stay out the super fan argument but I did comment once that all these fans who have all been to all these games must have been on holiday all the times I went and there were only 15-20 thousand fans in Elland Road.
I don't bother anymore with the crap regarding who shouldn't or should get a ticket. You'd nearly be guaranteed one if you were in a regional fan club, but those days are gone. I've been travelling over since 1980(supporting since 1972)(ferry/train or coach)now Ryanair and I've travelled over every season since, maybe got one game in, maybe 12. Less when introducing my lads to it until they were old enough to take me. I've had a membership in one shape or form since the late 70s, just because it made me feel part of the club. Also had a season ticket back when the bonds were for sale to help finance the building of the east stand(but it made no financial sense). Even back in the days of Viduka, Kelly etc it was easy enough to get a ticket because Leeds Utd didn't seem to have a huge take up on season tickets(I could be wrong) So sadly it seems unless a cure for the virus is found and/or we build a bigger stadium, I'll just have to grin and bear it with all the rest of the armchair supporters and watch the games on Sky. It sad times we live in, when it should be the beginning of a new and happy era for all the supporters of this wonderful club.
Starting to wonder about whats happening at the academy as we have just signed the young Ajax keeper Dani van den Heuvel 17yo, to go with Cooper Skerry, Ellia Caprille who are also 17yo and Illian Meslier. Whats happening to Kamel Miazek he must be going out on loan or released? according to Duncan Castles Ben White has a price tag of £55m thats the sheer greed of Brighton who dont even want him, they see him as a cash cow and nobody will pay that from outside the top 4
That's ridiculous I don't think that any of the top four are going to shell out that kind of money, He's not yet an international nor has he played a Premier League Game. VDV was £75 million. Dunk his team mates is valued at £50 million whist Ake has signed to Man City for £45 Million. Brighton's board are off their heads
Kinnear.... “Marcelo has said, and I think one of the reasons we’ve kept him, we’ve been able to give him everything he needs,” said Kinnear. “The reason he has spent a short time at other clubs is if you let him down. He doesn’t tend to look at the magnitude of issues. “An issue is an issue for him. So, the car parking layout in front of the stadium: he said it caused disorder when people arrived in the morning and they weren’t starting their day properly. “You need to have it fixed. That is as big an issue for him as Pablo being out for six weeks. “What we’ve been able to do is have a team which has been able to address those issues for him. https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/marcelo-bielsa-contract-leeds-united-18791541
I love the square ball podcast and this was a brilliant interview. Would recommend the square ball to anyone on here.
i catch the Phil Hay Show with the Square Ball lads as Phil is usually not far away from actual news and actual numbers rather than the usual National journo bollox.
Check out the square balls weekly cast. They try to be serious with a Phil Hay. They are hilarious on their own one.
think he meant to say TA as they have just had he car park done. Players have their own bays now and based upon seniority near to the entrance, firrst team squad in their own section, 23s in their own, U21s and then U18s, staff . When you move up to join a different squad you move parking bays too. It gets the first team into the building faster and nt training
