They would pay income tax of 20%.
It's nowhere near the claimed 40% that pud is talking about.

 

So you can't justify your claim that people earning an average salary pay income tax of 40%.

Im talking about normal working people and used the average UK salary as an example .

you can swing way below as way above but not enough to get to 50% tax rate .

It’s far too technical and boring for me ...and I’m not good at studying for exams .

I dont do anything too complicated.
I mainly deal with small businesses and property rentals. I can minimise tax but I dont do anything relating to overseas income although some of my clients are overseas.

I trained with a top four firm but I'm happier working from home.

I know a few that worked for top 4 , made it to certain seniority (vp and above) made cash then started out on their own ... flexible etc and happier work life balance .
