If that is the case then why mention the 40% rate?

A lot of it is pure theft.
It's taken from hard working people and given to the lazy.

Depending on sources, hence average salary figures , the average salary falls within these two rates .

Nobody on an average salary pays tax at 40%

And there are sources out there that beg to differ ... and I said normal working people , some will earn less than average, some will earn around average and some will earn above average but not as much as to make 150k per annum .

but if that is 100% factual that normal working folk earn the average or below , then the discrepancy in those paying the expected tax and those “avoiding “ it is even greater and more unfair .

I get your point , I assume you disagree with what tax is used for , that’s a different arguement that I’d probably agree with you on (the broken benefits system).

The only reason all the trillion dollar tech companies put their offices in Ireland is because they tax them **** all , you raise the tax and the Globalist mega companies move to another country .

If Labour had won the election and went after companies with ridiculous tax rates they would all leave and we get nothing.

The problem isn't with Torys or capitalism it's Globalism .
Massive companies aren't held accountable to the countries they operate in they are accountable to share holders.

Taxing businesses in the countries they operate in makes more sense than taxing them where their "management" is.

You know how the internet works I presume and based on your occupation, I’ll assume you will have many sources to see this in for others than ONS.

    I don’t ... I thought the government did ?

Nothing to stop you going to night school and becoming an accountant, you don't need to be rich .

I wouldnt say they are rich. Their yearly income may be anything from £30k to £300k.
Their net worth may be anything from very little to a few million pounds. Most of their net worth would be the house they live in.
    That's hardly excessive.
Most of them work very hard.
