Why is it that leftist Governments always want more of your wages through higher taxes ?

Starmer and Corbyn both multimillionaires , but but but but they earned it . :cheesy:

I’ll assume they pay the appropriate taxes ...

However , many many millionaires , investment bankers , ceos , hedge fund managers etc do not ... and many will get away with much more come 1/1/2021.

That’s is a major problem in the UK.

We , the working class , are expected to pay the appropriate taxes ... others don’t n get away with it.

I have no issue with anyone making money and making millions if they can... that’s the aim.

Is paying tax no longer relevant ?

I wish I could afford for it not to be relevant to me ...

    You didn’t answer the question and I don’t ...

It was first hit on google to give you a link as your being facetious.

    but if you like https://www.gov.uk/browse/tax

Many people play the system to their advantage to circumnavigate paying the taxes due on earnings etc

    That’s well established .

If you believe that’s ok, whilst “normal”‘working people get taxed between 20 and 40% on wages and bonuses , then fair enough .

    Two taxpayers:
Both have same income, investments, etc.
One uses ISAs and pays less tax than the other one who doesnt use ISAs.
Who is paying the appropriate tax?

Why did you omit the 45% tax rate?

Normal working people probably don’t earn 150k a year ...

It’s an assumption based on UK average salary figures which I assume you know.
