Yep that's up there near the top of my list. Trying to remember if my old 3 series folded completely flat in the back... Would be nice to go back onto BMW platform, one of the most effortless and rewarding cars I've ever driven.
Also thinking about going back to a Volvo XC90. I had one before which was a turkey as the 4x4 was goosed, but I think I just got unlucky with that one. Would definitely have another Touareg if the seats folded flat, but I know they don't as I've tried to sleep in one and it's got a massive ****ing step when the back seat folds down.
I've got a 5 series tourer. Enormous space in the back. Proper car, with big suv space. (did I tell you I'd had it remapped btw?)
More importantly, did I ever tell about the time I remapped a 320d ? Anyway, crucial question. Do the rear seats fold completely flat ?
Sorry, I'm late to this thread. Not sure if anyone has recommended this? Fiat Panda. Good Condition. Fair runner. Newish MOT. Two usable seats. Yours for £525. Mate is selling. I can pm you his details.
By the way, I've put the Merc in for a full service, today. Which is why I'm off work. It's developed a metallic rattling, which I've also asked them to look at. Hope it's not anything too serious/expensive.
Thanks mate, appreciate that. what year is your 5 series ? There’s some decent 10 year old 520d touring going for around the £4k mark. That’s in my budget
2015, just clocked 100k miles, 55k of those I've done myself in the last 2.5 years. Will probs look to change next spring but there's nothing at all wrong with it so really should go for another year. It's just that 100+k that's nagging at me. BTW, the remapp gets me an average 48mpg when it was 42 before. It's also very, very quick now for a big car. Great to have the grunt when I need it. Will replace with 530 I think.
