Don’t know the song OS, but he was with Genesis and Humble Pie, with the inimitable Steve Marriott! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Masky - the song is Lines on my face and was featured on his FCA album in the mid 70's after he'd left Humble Pie. I've stuck up a vid below of him performing it when he was 60 <yikes> - truly amazing.

He'd just recorded Rocking at the Fillmore with Marriott in the early 70's but left the band before it was actually released. It became a monster success for the Pie. He thought he'd made mistake in jumping ship. As events played out is was the Pie that broke up and Frampton was sensational as a soloist.

Don't remember him ever having played with Genesis though :emoticon-0138-think - I may be wrong but when it comes to Frampton, I rarely am.:emoticon-0103-cool:

Saw Frampton a couple of times. Most notably when I got a backstage job for Bowie's Glass Spider gig at the National Stadium. Seemed a nice bloke as well as obviously knowing his way around a guitar. I've got a plectrum of his somewhere.

Also, I live not far from Frampton on Severn. I don't think it relates to him though - unless he confused canal with Camel

Only Camel album I've got is Snow Goose.
Been to Rhayader quite a few times as well.
We used to go to Slimbridge quite a bit with my daughter when we lived in Brizzle.
Used to go to a few pubs along that stretch including oldbury.
    Nice villages.

Bowie brought a depressed Frampton back from the doldrums with the offer to join him on that Glass Spider tour. <ok>

There's a fascinating video of them doing an off the cuff walkabout in Madrid at the time. If you've got a spare 15 minutes, have a look..........
