We've had crossed threads with Leeds, Leicester, Millwall and Ipswich I think all ok. No real problems although there were a few from both sides that were intent on trying to spoil things. As for whether cross threads are a good idea, the majority on our board do not seem to want them.....it is up to the original poster.
It was for this reason that I didn't cross board this thread. Where we've done it before at times there's been no response from the otherside and other times there's been too many wums cheesing off our posters. Therefore I thought it'd be better to create a match thread just for our board. However, it's nice to see there is a cross board thread now aswell because both threads cater for everyone's wants and needs, i'm sure!
Saints are gonna want this pretty bad I'd imagine. 3 - 1 Saints, as they just can't keep a clean sheet at the moment. Will Nige make any changes?
I recon Steve De Ridder might start this one. I may be completely wrong as I wasn't there, but from the radio, it sounded like Guly and Connolly weren't their form selves in the last 2 games.
I think you'll be proved right with regards to De Ridder starting, but I can't decide who for. Guly or Connolly? I can't decide which of them I would drop, nor indeed which of them I think Nigel will drop.
Can see a couple fringe players being thrown in for this one, atleast on the bench. The amount of sitters we missed on Wednesday will be equalled out. Will bang in 3-4 here. 3-0 Saints
Might do. My guess is that he probably will. But who knows? But he adds a lot to a build-up/link-up play, and on the face of it De Ridder isn't an out-and-out striker. Just two of the various different issues/factors involved in why I can't make a decision here.
I agree, Connolly adds a lot more than just goals, he's an intelligent player - would be a gamble not to include him. I wouldn't like to be in NA's shoes with the decision!
I too feel that De Ridder may get a chance. It would be good to have him play for 90 mins with the first team. Agree on the talent of Connolly re link up play, however, this is a feature of the side, in that they all rotate a bit on the attack. De Ridder I would assume has enough talent to do this. So Guly just behind Lambert then, as he seems to have his scoring boots on of late. Connolly as sub. Either way, gotta fancy us for this one.
Need this game to keep momentum going. Can't believe how many results went our way..it's like when you slow to let a tail-gating car pass you and they just refuse to go. (Sorry if that's a concept you guys won't understand). Feel this may be a draw though.
October is a huge month and we must get a good result on Saturday IMO, because the games afterwards look bloody tough.
Mind you guys isn't that what people said back in early August.......September is a tough month. Every month is a tough one in my book there is no easy game. If we are to be promotion material then we are going to tough each and every month out and get results. We are more than capable.........
2 nil Saints. I have alot of admiration for Watford and what they achieve with little resources. i also like the way they give unknowns or nealy unkowns and insiders the managers job. I don't like the way they normally beat us.
if you want to do a real match thread visit the Swansea board, yours is average at best but look and learn
I do think the attack will be freshened up, De Ridder up top with Holmes on the right? too soon for harding so i imagine fox to continue, hooiveld, fonte and richardson obv in defence, maybe hammond to return for spider, so that leaves us with a team of: Davis Richardson Fonte Hooiveld Fox Holmes Hammond Cork Lallana De Ridder Lambert
Visited the fantastic match thread on the Swansea board??? So concise but its only had 4 replies....no wonder your on here
Have a good one Peeps. This morning at around 9.30am I'll be off doing one of the two pastimes [apart from the one thing Our Manager would want to do as well] I prefer to do other than following Saints. For the past two days, I've been out motorcycle riding on my red VFR800FiY, so that's one of them, and this weekend I'll be sailing around The Island. I expect I won't know anything about how Saints got on [or who won the Japanese MotoGP at Motegi] until when I return on Sunday evening. Here's hoping it's a fantastic victory and that Saints are still on top. Don't be too down hearted if the Lads don't perform, as I'm sure Nigel will get them buzzing again. Cheers.
