TBF they were just excited at the prospect And TBF again there is very little chance of an all London Supercup and as for an all Merseyside Super Cup final.....
Scoring more than one of their twenty shots (seven on target) wouldn't have been too bad am ideas either...
Tbf, the keeper gave one of those performances they usually reserve for us, but that's how it goes. Utd just didn't get enough penalties, so what can you do?
True although the strikers have to give the keeper a chance to perform that well. Put it in the corners and he's not saving it; twenty shots should see them score at least one (plus the penalty) no matter how well the keeper is playing. We were guilty of this every week in Kenny's second stint as manager.
Well done Sevilla, a team with a fraction of Manchester United's resources and support. Sevilla winning the CL? Are they serious?
I was going to say that we've been guilty of this often enough... ...but you've already said it. Though I wouldn't say only during Kenny's second stint. We've had games where we've dominated far more than Utd did today, had numerous shots and still got nothing. It happens.
Definitely more than just Kenny's second stint, just that that period stands out more than any other period for new.
Season nearly over now. Just need to see Couthino lift the CL with Bayern to pop another £5m in the pot City have spent gazillions and got away with cheating because of a botched investigation but are no closer to the CL - their brigade (they don’t have an army) of new plastic fans are having their dreams Squashed: This a comment on the City site pre Saturday: Watching Fernandinho lift the Champions League trophy will be the commencement of the City era of European football. It’s just a matter of time before they realise that Fraudiola can’t do it for them, despite endless money. As for OGS and the other half of Utd. It all begins again soon. Can’t wait!
Bernado Silva getting triggered on Twitter was the highlight of the season. The tw*t was quick to sing songs about Sean Cox when they won the league last year and is now complaining about LFC fans. City knocked out of the CL. United knocked out of EL. Life is good.
What a round of results this weekend has been. Are the English clubs missing the fans more than the other European clubs or is their football just not up to it. We've gone from 2 PL clubs in both European finals to none anywhere near them.
Just think both are abnormal in that last season was over achievement this year under . just comes down to such fine margins that imo very little can be gleaned from any one year .
I forgot about Utd playing last night and am staggered to find that they only paid for 1 penalty . Novice error by Ole & Woodward
I think you're right. Last season was definitely a one off. I've seen people comment that the standard in the PL this season has been poor and I'm not sure whether that's trying to belittle Liverpool's achievement or if that's a possible reality.
Last season the top four was 2 amazing teams and 2 very good ones This season it's 1 amazing team, 1 very good, and then just garbage all the way down It doesn't belittle Liverpool because they all raised their game for their cup final against us, but they did nothing most weeks
Yeah - because Utd hardly ever spend money do they? Same old tired solution. Scholes punditry is about the same level as his tackling.
