I have a bad feeling about this one, but then again, I'm optimistic about Amos, so what do I know.

What, you think he'll go to Boro or Derby, or that he'll be worse than Washington? I hope we get him as he sounds the type of player we need up front. We havent had a proper fox in the box since Sylla, and then we put him on the Bench and played Washington usually.

If he’s not the top goalscorer in the league after six games I’m demanding his head as is QPR tradition.

Seems to be a big no.9 who is good in th air and relatively agile. Looks promising!

I hope that the rumours turn out to be true.

Knowing our past track record, we will end up having a great no.9 striker but we will sell all the lads who are able to cross the ball to him.

We will again return to writing "no width" and "unable to make a cross". :)

The Dykes rumour seems to have substance:

    https://www.scotsman.com/sport/foot...-livingston-striker-set-ps2m-qpr-move-2943907

Livingston manager Gary Holt admits the departure of Lyndon Dykes will be a “massive loss” for his team after the West Lothian club agreed a record fee of around £2 million for the striker with Queen’s Park Rangers.

The 24-year-old is now discussing personal terms with the English Championship outfit.

The latter - that he won't be any good. I'm always nervous about signing someone from the Scottish leagues, and he doesn't have the best goals to games record. Just got to hope MW, LF et al have seen something not reflected in the past stats and that the £2m figure quoted is inaccurate.

£2m for someone who has scored 24 goals in 129 games in Scotland seems steep. That said, I've never seen him play, and sometimes it takes a few years for a player from a foreign league to really bed in. Fingers crossed I'll be eating humble pie.

Never worked out how SLF has struggled to identify good strikers. Surely given his career he’d know exactly what to look for.

Some journalist supposedly knowledgeable saying the fee isn't as high as £2 million.

Apparently the £2 million includes add ons...so probably more like £1.2-1.5. With goals scored/promotion and sell on included.

Amos is said to have trained with us yesterday...and went on holiday with a couple of ourplayers Shodipo I think.

So two new midfielders and a CF....still got to find a CD...

Dillon Barnes (who!) our third goalie is being looked at by Swindon. It has all gone quiet on the BOS front, and not really even started on Ryan Manning.

We signed George Thomas, attacking midfielder/winger last week on a free for 3 years...23 year old from Coventry

The other two are not yet signed but looking hopeful
It looks like Amos (who is not new...and splits people like Marmite), is nearly here. As he has agreed terms and turned down an approach from Boro.
and Dykes is apparently having a medical now.

    That is what I meant

I think that we need two strikers. Last season we had Wells and Hugill (plus BOS, Oteh, etc).

Dykes would be one, and I guess we may go for a loan for the other (posibly Hugill again?)

Think we really need to tie down the centre back position, preferably one who has a bit of command about him too.
We really have lacked leadership at the back for a long time now (as well as ability). Looks like the Oxford guy is beyond our reach and we don’t seem Be able to come to any agreement for the Northampton guy, so we need to buck up our ideas. That said, prefer the waiting game for the right guy.

The club’s social media is suggesting a signing to be revealed today.

    I’m giddy with excitement.

The season starts in about 15 minutes so we can’t wait too long.
