Do they have more of them than most? Probably. But it remains a tiny minority. It is a variation of a theme, like our fans whingeing that we sign a player from Millwall whilst mid table 3rd tier. It’s the same thing just reigned in a bit better. Tell you what you do get in this city that I never get. In Sunderland, everyone supports Sunderland. It’s instilled in you almost from birth. It unites families and groups. I know a heap of folk born and raised here, and particularly you’re middle grounds like Pelaw and Chester, who ‘support’ United and Liverpool. Just don’t get that in Sunderland at all.

I have to add this mind, we are all kind of forgetting about one thing. The team. Last few days I’ve started to get the buzz for the season approaching fast, fixtures on Friday. Let’s get this ****ing done this year please god, regardless of ownership and such. We are barely thinking about the ****ing team with all this **** on both sides of the lines.

It is, and no matter who owns the club it’s irrelevant if we remain 3rd tier. There’s no stand out team in the league this year it’s a great chance for any one of 8-10 to get up. I’d be content and confident with Maddison plus a RB so we are really close. Peterborough look the threat but I expect they lose Toney.
Aye Toney seems to be off. I'd still like another defender and I'd prioritise a strong, hard midfielder who takes no ****. In theory we have goals in us but centre mid has been lacking for a couple of seasons.
Bot more than a couple seasons I’d see. We haven’t had a proper central midfield for 6-7 year, we’ve never got the balance right. I think with what we have to minimise buying the solution is a front 3, Coventry did that a lot last season and were easily best side in the league. Say we went Gooch-AOB-Maddison (I know..), that’s very strong. Play Maguire in a false 9/10 then that looks excellent. We’ve a great 3 at back, 1 more be good, Hume left and we need a RB. Yes, it’s light on cover in midfield, but **** me we’d score goals and teams would be pushed back to the point 2 holding players be unnecessary. Standard 4-3-3, but with this players the flexibility is there for 4-4-2, 4-5-1 and 5-3-2. Shows how close we are, first 11-13 anyway. Hopefully Scowen can be fit and show why the Barnsley and QPR fans rated him.
