Don't be dramatic, lies have not been mentioned, as I said, it's tough and rough if you don't like it, no one owes you an explanation, you can potter on in your own sweet way but the world does not necessarily turn in accordance with your views, people throw so much at me you might not believe it, PM's giving me a bollocking, if you put your head over the parapet that's your choice, I made mine, you make yours.
If we don't improve our midfield and forward line we will be bottom half next season. However, I don't think we will, I think DH sees Walsh as the mainstay of our midfield, which might work, but it's a big step up from L1, to a side that is supposed to be challenging for a top 6 spot. Maybe an injury-free Nagy with a full pre-season may be back to the form we saw glimpses of when he first arrived. It's the attacking midfield area that concerns me, can DH get the best out of Kasey Palmer, or is he looking at Sammie S, again, a big step up from L1 football where he did well last season. Wells will score goals given service, but we still need another good striker as Fammy needs 4-5 chances for every goal he scores, so in tight games, he is not good enough to get us points.
The puppet might have left the building RP, but the Puppet Masters are 100% still there - and they are still pulling the strings. I really hope the problem really was the puppet and the change of puppet makes the next performance something to look forward to........
R&W If you think this 'puppet' will have the same fiscal backing as the last 'puppet', as you call him, you will be proved sadly mistaken. Holden is on a hiding to nothing. Ps As if I would call Mr Johnson a puppet
Muppet maybe? Getting back to our future will now be under stress due to the usual way we go about the most difficult process of hiring the right manager which appears to me to be bordering on farcical. We can all bang on about what we wanted and expected but as we all know Bristol City rarely do things the way they should be carried out, with which some will agree and others not. In my books we are no further ahead in most departments ( other than bricks and mortar) than we were at the start of a supposed 5 year plan to succeed or at least be close every season. Just imagine you are a manager that is out of work due to the trigger finger of your employer and you are now looking for the best opportunity to further your career. I know it is difficult for management to list the contenders that applied for our vacancy due to privacy concerns, which leaves the supporters to sort out all the garbage being put forth by those not truly in the loop. On the other side of the coin is this scenario of privacy being used to hide the fact that we never interviewed any manager worthy of consideration? Based on some of these hypotheses would you bother to submit an application and consider Ashton Gate to be your next step up the ladder? I wish Dean all the best of luck and I just hope he isn't cannon fodder like Tinnion and perhaps his assistants with insight in to the junior England set-up may be able to find some young gems who need game time at Championship level. Who knows the answers and will this time out prove more effective than previous efforts which brought us back to this somewhat confusing point? Keep safe one and all and tell the young ones to stay away from crowds, just in case they aren't listening to the news.
You're able to have it both ways RP....If he fails, it's because of the players he inherited, if he does well.....we know your answer.........but as we know, been said many times...........It will all end in tears!!
Surely now that the game v Portsmouth has been cancelled, City will look to line up another pre-season friendly? As it stands our next game is v Exeter in the cup.
