I'm not bothered about removing statues. Not much point pulling down a statue, when the power structure that protects corruption and injustice remains in place.

In Liverpool the council considered renaming Penney Lane, and other streets and monuments named after slavers, but they decided instead to create a museum of slavery, to encourage people to learn about history - including the bits the ruling classes airbrushed out.

Problem with school is they only teach a few basic history lesson and not a wider diverse amount

Pretty sure the Daily Mail were outraged by the statues of Ghandi and Nelson Mandela in Parliament Square, and wanted them removed.

Ask yourself who puts the statues up in the first place. Why is there a statue of Richard, Couer de Leon outside Parliament, when he never spoke English and hardly ever visited the place? (No, I don’t want it removed btw. I love the irony of it).
