Is Mark Harris an out and out striker, or someone who could play in a 10 role? Desperately need some cover for Tomlin.
I assume Neil sees him in an attacking role given he spoke of him in conjunction with our strikers. Intetesting.
In the absence of anything else at the moment, an extract from the Mail's daily football roundup gossip.................. "Elsewhere Cardiff City are taking a look at United's teenage defender Ollie Denham. The 18-year-old centre-back, who has been capped by Wales at youth level has been training at the Championship club." EDIT - never heard of him so just had a quick look.......... https://www.manutd.com/en/players-and-staff/detail/oliver-denham#
He was born in 2002. That was about when we beat Leeds in the Cup which seems like yesterday......is it me or am I just getting old too quickly
Wardy finally gone then..................... https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/club-statement-danny-ward-departs
Decent lad who worked hard for us. Never really got fully into his groove I don't think, probably due to being used quite sparingly. Hope Moore produces a better goal return and at least matches Ward's work rate.
I think it's a bit of a shame too. Still, economics prevail and I suppose he was considered a luxury with the arrival of KM. Personally, I'd have liked to have seen Ward for a full season under Harris. Never mind, an exciting season awaits.
I always liked Ward, gave his all for city and would have done better if he better service. I think he will do well at Huddersfield, I wish him look luck. Thanks Wardy.
Id have been happy with Ward as Moores back up. However he was out of contract and Vassell and Glatzel tied to deals.
I echo all the above. Lack of opportunity and fitness issues restricted his performance with us although I always felt he wasn't quite up to the standard needed. Perhaps more game time would have proved me wrong. Always gave 100% and was a true team player. Good luck to him at t'Udders except against us of course. Will be assured of a warm welcome when visiting CCS. Assuming we are allowed back in the ground by then.
