Well now we should find out just exactly how "committed" they all are to the deal and how much they want this to go through. We've more than done our bit now and finally got a response. Yes, it’s all pretty obvious that a fail invites legal action, and a woman suing Barclays is to be feared. Hence why they didn’t. But it seems to be Staveleys agenda not KSA. Typically as is the norm for Ashley’s Newcastle, it’s a ****ing mess and the fans take the bulk of the ****. So close to the end yet I now fear there will be no end to this saga; a relegation and potentially a number of years purgatory where Mike can’t get us to bounce back but won’t take a hit on the value. There’s a lot of pain still to be wrought upon the fans yet, if you’re stupid enough to keep supporting.

a lot of our fans are speculating exactly this. They suggest the consortium wanted the stalling to stop and the PL to openly and In public state exactly what they want. Hence getting the fans to pressure the PL. this may be what the NUFC insider is jiving at. Narrow down the focus to one issue then booom... here you go PL.. here’s a cast iron legal justification why the state isn’t the controlling interest now pass the deal. I realise it’s just clutching though but one thing keeps rattling round my head... money talks and the Saudis are minted.... and the Saudi’s don’t like to lose.... okay that’s two things.. Deal dead... we need to move on.
Another train of thought is that Covid hit and PIF simply want to back out Cos the financial rewards (the are investors) aren’t there so are using the PL as a reason more than Covid.
