So it went as we’ve known: - PL ask KSA to be named a director because their view was KSA & PIF are one and the same (partly true-ish, but not reallly) - if KSA are named as a director they fall foul of company law, disqualified. - PIF send letter refuting the claim, with letter presumably from the top - PL say “ok, well if you dispute our view you can take it to an independent court” - PIF can’t be bothered with that ****, it’ll take even longer, and may or may not have fears about findings so just pull out PL have obfuscated but not broken any laws. They get away with it, KSA is blocked from investing in Newcastle. The End. (Literally)
Always fancied a trip to northern Scotland to watch the likes of Arbroath, Brechin, fraserburgh, Huntly and Fort William. Perfect excuse now.
City situation was a lot different when they bought the club. Also, Sheikh Mansour has always been and remains the owner. They never disputed that
Mansour only set up the Abu Dhabi United Group to facilitate the purchase of City. He was the owner and chairman. After the purchase the group have subsequently had a big change, but even so that only includes outside investors buying into the group. In all essence the entire group is still owned by Mansour and he is nowhere near close to being a future King. The consortium to buy Newcastle was a ****ing mess
