Seagulls swoop for another centre back Dutch media are reporting that Brighton have agreed a deal to sign NAC Breda defender Jan Paul van Hecke. This would be the second centre back the Seagulls have snapped up in recent weeks. Highly rated Joel Veltman signed from Ajax for £900,000 a fortnight ago. Van Hecke, 20, will sign for the seaside town for a fee of around €2m. Brighton Manager Graham Potter already has Lewis Dunk, Adam Webster, Shane Duffy, Dan Burn, Matt Clarke, Veltman and Ben White at his disposal for next season. Could this signing indicate that they are ready to offload Ben White? Does anybody else find it a bit disturbing that Leeds are mainly being linked to players worth between 10 -20m, whilst teams like Brighton have a far cheaper shopping list? The 26yo walked away from the South Coast Club after his contract came to an end in the Summer. As a free agent, Frazer is looking to cash in. He is looking for £100,000 a week. Give up on Ben White. Maybe with Brighton buying so many defenders he might be benched for the season and could be cheaper at a later date if we still wanted him. Time to move on.

If the club made an announcement politely put that we made a more than generous offer for White but it was turned down so we’re no longer interested then other targets parent clubs will get the message we’ll make an offer and we’re happy to walk away if you’re going to be unreasonable
Morning all well it's friday the 14th which means nothing of course except...... Friday could be the day they announce Bielsa is staying (surprise) well i never saw that coming. Also it may be the day we get one of those videos of someone going into the East stand. White is no longer an interest to me it's too much money. I see cresswell was training with the squad this week and that's good but he is not ready yet. What has happened to our plans to recruit which we were informed bielsa does well in advance. Where is choice A B C or even D. Even if we sign white we still need another senior centre back. A striker and number ten unless Bamford is transformed into one. Bielsa has done stranger things. I see no mention of davis when will he get a chance. Another point is will we get any pre season games and is there time?.

In keeping with the running theme for this transfer window tell Celtic they can have Douglas for 12 million.
Morning all. I would have no problem letting Douglas go to Celtic. I like the guy but not quite hit the level that was expected of him. Quite telling that when Wolves went up they let him go. Unless there is some background movement on White we don't know about its time to move on. While last weeks twitter trend of freebenwhite was amusing it is gonna be embarrassing if we don't get him now. Majority of fans on twitter take too much pleasure in winding up opposition fans and that's exactly what that was. Well if we don't get him then we are the ones with egg on our face. A lot of fans were giving it large about being a bigger club. Just giving the Brighton fans the ammo they need. Its also creating the rivalry between our clubs that so many claim isn't there.
