What a night. Got home around 3am from hospital after my daughter had loads of various tests. Apparently during her assessment the GP had red flagged possible meningitis, which is why we ended up as an emergency case at hospital. Anyway cut a long story short, she’s fine. She has to go back for an urgent eye test, but seems it’s nothing more than that. Thank ****. Thanks for the well wishing comments lads
Thanks mate. That's the first time I've experienced anything 'serious' with my daughter (although thankfully it turned out okay) and yeah it's ****ing terrifying when it's your kids. You'd literally do anything to swap places with them.
Nice one mate, good to hear, given some of the awful stories being aired about how this disastrous algorithm they’ve used has marked down so many, based on built in privilege.
Yes there was a lot of worry the night before, she's had a few medical issues and missed a lot of school so there was genuine concern that the grades wouldn't be good enough. Anyway she's off to study criminology and psychology.
My lad got what he wanted to get into Manchester...He was predicted 2 B’s and a C...he got 3 B’s. Well chuffed for him...he’s worked hard but he’s sacking it off coz he wants to be a fireman, applications in October.
He'll always have them as options mate and for advancement within the fire service if he stays. Well done to him.
