Jeez the way people talk you would think Catholic priests were the only ones to ever abuse a child. Yes, it is a disgusting crime and yes, it should never have been covered up and the people responsible should be held to account. However, abuse also happens in State run institutions and privately run institutions.

There have been many priests, doctors, teachers, sports coaches etc who have committed similar crimes and covered it up and they should all be treated exactly the same.
 
Liam Neeson is an awesome guy, he killed like 20 people in the movie "Taken"... I dont see any proddies doing that <ok>

There's another thing. People have been saying for years that Irish politics should be kept separate from the church and yet the British Head Of State is also the Head of the CoE. I don't hear too many people saying that should change.
 
If Elizabeth the first had done a proper job of it we wouldn't have to be putting up with these boring arguments about it on here every day
 
No one group is better than the other. There are ****s who are Protestant, there are ****s who are Catholic. The same goes for Muslims, Jews, Athiests etc.
