Aye we only went for a few days at a time, and only occasionally took the lasses so we never ventured far from Alb. Mind I wouldn’t even class Albufeira as busy, other than the big time share places. Maybe that’s just a city life thing.
Great site this mate thanks for sharing, there’s a load on there and the filters are perfect. Champion.
Just been for a cracking meal tonight in a little bistro called Lewis’s in Grasmere definitely worth a try and this was the lightning last night in Caldbeck. Scary.
It's just started at my gaff. Literally going off every few seconds. Not much rain yet. Batten down the hatches.
I I actually liked that image until I did an internet search and found this. https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/781656079052293486/ Still an impressive image even if it’s from Lake Catatumbo in Venezuela and not the Lake District.
Thank f uck for that I am off up there next week for a holiday thought it was over the top for the Lakes
were in North Somerset near Weston Super Mare with the grand kids. it's absolutely boiling down here, we did a jig this morning as it was only 21° at 9am, which didn't last cos it's about 28° now. went to Wooky Hole Tuesday it was 37° when we came out the caves, sweltering.
Sounds smashing to me that mate, with the dog we looking at Yorkshire being about the furthest we heading. There’s a lot of good places on that link that was shared, still not booked. She managed to book California for next year no problem like, useless
We were in Somerset with our grand kids the end of July, I didn't realise what a beautiful county it is, really impressive. Unfortunately most places were closed because of the virus, including the Wooky Hole, so it gives us an excuse to go back down. Enjoy the rest of your break
Whilst Low Wood and Langdale Chasr are undeniably beautiful, for me I love the quieter spots. We hire the same cottage twice a year in Elterwater. Absolute bliss. Fantastic pub which serves cracking home made food, great beer and plenty to do without needing to drive anywhere or struggle to walk past the tens of thousands of tourists in Ambleside and Bo'ness.
We're off to Croyde, North Devon tomorrow. Then week two in Seatown, West Dorset. good to get out the big smoke for a bit, next to the beach, whatever the weather......well, 2nd week we're camping so hopefully the rain/storms have blown over by then. At least there's a pub on the beach
