Well, on the one hand, Saints have won their last 14 successive home games in all competitions. On the other hand, good runs have to come to an end sometime. No, on balance I am going to predict a Saints win. 3-1 I reckon.
Yes, if there's one stat/fact that you'd want to include in your match thread about us, it is this one - even if this wonder run does include some league one and carling cup games.
Well MillWall were unbeaten at the den in about 11 months i think and we beat them 1-6!! We play better away, but you are unbeaten at home. Its the rock and the un-movable object.
Great thread as ever Ak , thank you. i'm going for a 1-3...i'm going to let Southampton get a goal this time coz they're apparently on a bit of a run..but we're good at scoring 3 there..so 3 this time would be lovely, thanks boys..COYH!
yeah, but i don't go there lol... Thanks hon, it's been a lovely day..and i do it all over again tomorrow!
I really cannot make up my mind which way this is going to go. Anyone got a spare octopus kicking around?
If we win 7-1, perhaps the Football League Show will promote us to the giddy heights of the second last group of Championship games.
Early start today. I saw comment of a Southampton only match thread so I had a look, but it is stickied to keep it at the top of their list.
Which is fine, but there is a big difference between unbeaten for a long while and a long run of consecutive victories! If we win, it's 15 on the spin. Btw, I always thought that the expression was, "The irresistible force vs the immovable object. The "rock and the un-movable object" smacks of a 0-0 draw, and that is probably the least likely outcome.
I am nervous about this one! It's a lot different going into a game on the back of a draw and a defeat, seems a while since we've had to do that! My heart says win, my head says draw. The current form of both sides does suggest a share of the points.
Still think you saints are worrying about nothing ! We still have a rookie manager Mackay stole a plyer or too and more importantly half the backroom staff! we have had 10 new players (some of dubious quality) and have lost the lkes of Don Cowie ,Danny Graham and Will Buckley! It was a given that we would struggle especially in the first part of the season! When I look at your predicted team sheet I am a little shall we say nervous! when you look at our team sheet , I bet you will think "who`s that!"
