Young Charlie Allen has signed too and it seems the young Fulham kid is on his way up the M1 as we speak. still waiting For Bielsa to sign which he will and we still need to see who gets the U23 gig, will it be an internal fill or will Bielsa bring someone in? story on Sky Sports News saying we are now offering £27m for Ben White. Crazy, stupidity for me way too much. we need goals from the front 3 which means Costa and Harrison need to do much more and also need more end product from both. But the biggy needs to be a new striker who can hit the target more than Bamford. Yes Bamford does a great job except his conversion rate, so we must have a top striker but if half the budget goes on White.......
Why is the White signing more likely every day?. At the prices quoted i think less likely and would pull out. He has no experience except what bielsa gave him. Really over hyped player who Brighton did not rate. Time to move on and sign more players for bielsa to develope.there is no need to spend silly money this time around. Buyers are holding all the aces with no gate income. So we as newcomers with a premiership income guaranteed know what we can afford and White is too expensive. I doubt he is worth ten million but maybe in installments he is.
I bet we’d have to pay £30m to keep him next season as well, I looked him up on wiki looks a prolific one to me
This time last week bookies had us at 12/1 to sign White way behind Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea, everyone said he would be too expensive for us. Since then we've gone to 1/1 with the bookies, put in bids of up to £27 million (apparently) and he's refusing to sign a new contract with Brighton. I still don't think we'll agree a price but right now I wouldn't be too surprised whereas last week it looked like we had given up hope. I agree it would be risky spending so much on a player with no premier league experience, I'd rather we got a proven striker and a cheaper CB if it was a choice of one or the other.
Let’s assume we get Ben White for £27m we signed Meslier for £5m they’re saying Harrison’s loan fee is £2m and Costa cost us £16m Augustin £18m It’s costing us £68m to start this season the same strength as we finished last. I can’t help feel that is some seriously poor forward thinking and terrible negotiation skills from Orta The best player we had there was no agreed purchase option and Costa is seriously over valued. Harrison we could have had for £8m or £2m loan and extend the option to but at £8m again. Augustin it looks like we’ll have to pay for a player we'll most likely never see play, most bizarre
So Jack is back, we have a kid wet behind the ears with another kid on the way & no Ben please log in to view this image
Our conversion rate was poor but it was good that we made chances and the fact remains we scored more goals than all but 2 teams. Better that our goals were shared around. Surely it does not matter who scores?.
No idea on the exact stats but I bet chances to goals scored we are nowhere near the top and in the PL we are not going to get the same amount of chances.
