I can’t believe the mags just can’t see that this is the main reason for PIF withdrawing. The PL appear to have given them plenty of opportunities to declare the names of all people who will be owner/directors or have an influence in the running of the club. As chairman of the fund who are buying the club, it’s impossible not to have the name of MBS on the list and I can’t see them wanting MBS to be subjected to the test.

Staveley will be well aware that she can’t take action against the PL as the ball is simply in the buyers court to produce the information required for the test to proceed, so she’s stirred up the masses in hope that negative publicity may force the PL to let it go through. Only problem will be is that if the PL back down now, everyone will try it on to get their own way.

The Premier League won’t back down mate. They are far bigger than Newcastle and a few fans spitting a dummy out won’t even wobble the juggernaut that is the league.

The Premier League silence says it all, as far as they are concerned they have nothing to answer. They could list any number of reasons for not approving the sale, they simply don’t have to as they asked for that clarity and the buyers pulled out.

It looks sketchy as ****. Why don’t they start asking why Staveley has failed with takeovers of several PL clubs before? Maybe the answer isn’t in Saudi, maybe it’s this lady here.

Hedge fund managers etc have scarcely been clean as a whistle, she’s had the backing yet failed to finalise deals with clubs bigger and smaller than the Mags, why?

God knows what the plans for the club were. Sports washing for sure but what beyond that? There was something that the Mags fans probably don’t wanna know in that deal In my opinion, and the PL have stood their ground, protected their product and done what was required.

Ashley wanted to sell, the Saudis wanted to buy, but the PL in the middle did absolutely nothing.
No, we don’t have a right to an answer, but an explanation would be nice.
I’ve moved on, I wish everyone else would. The club is still alive, slumbering......

Imo I reckon they pulled out to save face rather than be rejected as shameful in their culture.

I have gained permissions for companies for FCA regulation and can tell you the hoops are immense, if they have not been forthcoming it’s game over mate, simple as that, FCA permissions are nothing on fit and proper premier league tests

As somebody who has worked with big business, how do you think decent honest businessmen would react to being libelled on the internet as being "corrupt"? Do you think they might seek litigation with people publishing allegations of corruption about themselves on social media?

I honestly don’t think they would give a flying one mate, if it started to gain massive media attention and was posing a reputational risk then maybe?

For the vast majority of my football supporting life I would often take great enjoyment out of Newcastles misfortune and some of their fans making tits of themselves. For the first time ever I am not laughing. I am actually squirming with embarrassment. Not enjoying it at all.
