I would defo have to have the resources to obtain fresh salad stuff and vegetables. As you say, all quick stuff to knock up, especially in heat of the weather. Defo no chickpeas! In hot countries, I'd be fine with cold meats. Although I do love fish. Example, tonight I just had a huge salad comprising of small plum toms, cucumber, radishes, lettuce, onion, red pepper, coleslaw, cold cooked ham and a pork pie. Branston, mayo, salt. I've got prawns and more ham for other evenings, or for as long has this heats persists. When I say ham I'm not talking of stuff pumped with water. Freezer full of food, things such as chicken, lamb, beef mince, etc but can't be asked with it at the mo. I've even got pasta, just again can't be bothered with it at the mo.
Yeh its all about salads in this weather tbh, great things really cos you can be creative with a salad, I do a bangin bacon Grape & chicken salad.
I liked the way you hoy some cooked meats, along with a pork pie, branston, some salady stuff, and most of all some salt, sea salt?
Normally have shopping delivered, since covid, bulk buy every couple of weeks. But went to the supermarket today, and picked up a load of fresh salad produce. It's the only problem with bulk buying, salad stuff is perishable, so only lasts generally for the first week - which isn't normally a problem, but in this hot weather the alternatives are too much effort.
Got to have some less healthy stuff in there I'd pass out if I just had the salad, I aint a fooking rabbit
You can't have tomatoes without salt! It's the only function really, but yeah it's not good for me, I know.
But it's not tho....Everything is cutting down on salt, where salt plays an important function. And you are right, certain foods need salt, tomatoes, cold boiled eggs etc.
I don't have as much salt as I did when I was younger. I sort of broke the habit as I got older, now just have it on certain things, rather than everything.
