Blimey - what a palaver booking train tickets in this country is. Should be simple, but oh no....we have quite a simple scenario: Myself, my mate and his daughter (who has a student rail card) are going by train to Soton, but me and my mate have already got some el cheapo tickets from Waterloo to Soton - so we need 2 tickets from bandit country to Waterloo and one from bandit country to Soton. Cheapest option was to get a return from Waterloo to Soton for his daughter and 3 returns from bandit country to St. Pancras (which include multi-zone tube travel) - when I requested a price from bandit country to Waterloo it was £10 more expensive and did not include tune travel! yet it is exactly the same journey. Still, not bad value at an average of £24 each from bandit country to Soton...and we can drink all the way!

As Thursday is the new Friday, I will take a large View attachment 7578 please AK - purely on medicinal grounds of course...

Norway - Still very variable, particularly at peak times...but outside of peak, much better than the old BR days - although on the radio this afternoon they said there were delays out of Euston as it was too hot for the rails!!

Come on AK - keep up, I am a sick man and need my View attachment 7579 - doctors orders!

Neither do we but we do have "Le Petit Train" which looks like a train but is a road-going vehicle.

This cold is obviously no respecter of countries. Streaming at the weekend, dries up, but then goes down to leave you with a cough. I have been on Benylin for a couple of days, but it was pointed out to me that it contains alcohol and I wouldn't be needing quite so many glasses of the red stuff. :(

Maybe I should go onto a white Bordeaux.

Happy New Year to you H. <ok>

I spent a short time today trying to find out how you have got up to year 5772, but came to the conclusion that it is open to dispute. Amazing what you learn when a question pops into your head. ;)
