They're not desperate for money. In fact they've been amongst the biggest spenders this season. They've been turning down massive bids for Toney since last summer for example. He was let go by Ferguson as he was becoming a disruptive influence in the dressing room and basically had downed tools in January to get a move away. Plus they'd brought Szmodics in as replacement who started scoring straight away.
Was reading comments on his posts and there were a few Hull fans on there asking him to go back. Stats weren’t there but likes like he did alright at that level based on that.
Only played 7 games though. On that though, how sad is it that, in current terms, Hull are a more attractive prospect than SAFC!!
Aye, I don’t think they are now like as they’ve been relegated. Played 7 out of 10 that they had left, and I don’t know if he was eligible for the last couple as they’d have needed to extend his loan. If he’d have been garbage there wouldn’t be Hull fans wanting him back though. I genuinely think we are his best move, biggest club he will get offered, ‘his club’, kind of player our fans take to and pretty much universally wanted here. I feel like we will get him. Dunno why, I just have a hunch he will land here.
with everything that’s happened this previous season, I can’t remember who’s up, down, or anything else!! Did Liverpool win the league????
I think it's possibly easier to argue that Hull are only visiting League One and planning on immediate promotion. It depends a lot on what kind of players you'd be playing alongside, the finances involved, how likely you are to play and how many years are on offer. If they're comparable then yeah pick the club you support, if not then you can't blame a player at this level for picking the bigger finances and/or prospects as they aren't on Premiership money.
Hull are a club falling apart mate, the owners pulled the money out, the manager is a joke but he’s being backed by the owners as he’s a ‘yes man’, believe me I don’t see them being strong contenders whilst the owners are running the club into the ground. There’s nothing to suggest they can offer more than us, and more than that nothing to suggest they are even interested, was just a couple of their fans commenting on his post.
Jimmy Hill will be turning in his oddly shaped grave with all this talk of a salary cap. Personally I can see footballers going on strike if it is forced through.
What would you do if someone who oversees the company you work for says “right, all your staff are getting a pay cut and no new staff are allowed any more than £30k” youd find a new job or, like you say, go in strike!!
I’m not sure about this guy. There’s a lot of rumours that his attitude is a major problem. It’s quite telling that no club wants him back and no new clubs seem to want him. He’s a cracking player for this league but if his attitude could disrupt the rest of the squad then he just isn’t worth it.
You’d hope that his hometown club he could avoid that. But, as we’ve seen, footballers are a different breed to most of us!!
